The editing stage
When editing, we will:
- detect and correct any spelling, punctuation and grammatical errors
- identify and rectify any ambiguities or inconsistencies
- rearrange the text (where necessary) for clarity and readability
- take steps to ensure consistency of formatting and layout
The proofreading stage
Proofreading assumes that the editing has already been done.
When proofreading, we scrutinise the text for any mistakes that may have been overlooked at the editing stage.
